Ch. 14- Demon from the Past

Hinata was sitting alone in her hut. She was trying to pass the time while waiting for Naruto to return from his diplomatic mission to the Bird Nation. He wasn’t the only one to have gone; nearly ever captain and their crew had left to either gather information on Akatsuki or find new allies that would help them. Only Kakashi, Hanabi, and Genma’s defence force had stayed. Which meant everyone was without their loved one. Temari, Sakura, Matsuri, Kurenai, and Hanabi were all just as depressed as Hinata was; only Anko had her lover here, but Kakashi was constantly running errands for Tsunade.

Hinata could hear Hanabi whimpering and whining for Konohamaru. She always got depressed when Konohamaru left or had to go on a different ship. Hinata thanked god she could go with Naruto almost all the time, but this time she couldn’t. So she just continued passing the time and waited.

“Hey Hinata,” said a voice. Hinata turned and saw all of the girls walking towards her.

“Hello everyone, what’s going on,” Hinata asked?

“We decided to have a party,” said Temari.

“A party, what for,” Hanabi asked?

“Different reasons; the boys giving us alone time, all of us pretty much being married or in a committed relationship, Matsuri’s kid, pass the time,” Sakura listed.

“Well I would like to get my mind off of Naruto being gone,” everyone sighed.

“It’s ironic, when they’re childish, or getting themselves killed we can’t stand them, and yet as soon as they leave we can’t live without them,” Anko whimpered.

“I’m the only one who can keep Shika in line and make sure he does his job,” Temari sulked.

“And Sasuke is the only one I show my affection to,” Sakura whined.

“Don’t you mean anger,” Hanabi mocked. Sakura glared while everyone giggled.

“If I’m not near Hayate he’ll make sexist jokes,” Yugao whined. Everyone hugged each other and began tearing up.

“WAAAAHHHH, WE MISS OUR BOYS WAAAAHHH,” they all cried.

“What are you doing,” Nagi asked?

“Oh Nagi, hello; we were just thinking about the boys,” Hinata pulled herself together. “What you doing here?

“I’m part of Genma’s defence force,”

“Wow, what rank are you,” Temari asked?

“Military Leftenant,” the girls gawked.

“Holy shit, that’s the same rank as Gaara,” said Matsuri.

“It’s no big deal; oh by the way, I was supposed to get Hinata, Matsuri, Hanabi, little Haku, Yugao, and Temari to come with me,”

“Why,” Hanabi asked.

“Dunno, Tsunade wants to see us, and just so you know,” he whispered. “Genma has been in their already, and he’s been very uptight ever since. I think something happened. The girls looked uneasy. They said goodbye to the others and headed for Tsunades hut. When they got there, they saw Kakashi, Zukku, little Haku and Iruka. This made the girls even more worried.

“Girls, I have bad news,” said Tsunade grimly. “The Bird Nation was just attacked by the Akatsuki; we don’t know whether or not if the Nine Tails and its crew are still alive. Everyone looked as if a bullet had pierced their hearts, but Hinata was worse. She didn’t even shed tears; she just collapsed to the floor barely conscious. Nagi cursed, and Haku began to cry and sought comfort with Hinata; who intern, joined him.

“This is fucking bad; we are all going die,” said Nagi.

“What the hell Nagi,” Genma snapped!

“You don’t know do you; Naruto is the last Namikaze, and the last Bezerker,” Nagi
scowled. Tsunade froze

“How do you know about that,” Tsunade asked?

“I read mythology and legends on my spare time,”

“The Namikazes gave up that ability after Minato’s grandfather died,”

“Hmmm, maybe that’s why they all got their asses kicked by Pein and Kakuzu,”

“That’s enough Nagi,” Kakashi ordered!

“No; if Naruto isn’t alive, we have no way of defeating Pein, and one of the Brothers will have died out,” Nagi explained. “Unless there’s another Namikaze out there who can reach Stage 1, 2, or even 3; Pein will destroy us all.

“You gotta lot of nerve talking to Kakashi like that,” Iruka threatened.

“No Iruka; he’s right,” everyone stared disbelief at what they had heard. “If Naruto is dead then there’s no way we can win this war. We may as well shoot ourselves and get it over with instead of delaying it. The only reason Nagi didn’t do that from the start was because there’s still a chance Naruto is alive, correct.

“That’s right, but if he’s still alive then we can win this war,”

“Unfortunately, I haven’t finished what I needed to tell you,” Tsunade sighed. “An attack from the Akatsuki is imminent; they’re on their way here,”

“Oh fuck me,” Genma cursed. There was small noise.

“Did you hear that,” Matsuri asked? Nagi jumped.

“EVERYBODY GET DOWN,” Nagi ordered! Everyone ducked just in the nick of time. A cannon ball came right through Tsunade’s hut and turned it to splinters.

“WE’RE UNDER ATTACK,” Genma yelled. “ALL TROOPS TO BATTLESTATIONS; ENGAGE THE ENEMY.

“Nagi get the girls to safety,” Iruka ordered.

“Hey we can fight,” Sakura scowled.

“I know, that’s why we need you with the civilians if they’re attacked,” the girls still weren’t convinced. “Don’t worry Tsunade is going too. Tsunade glared at Iruka for putting her in that situation, but it did calm the girls down. They nodded and headed for the other side of the island were the evacuation boats were.

Kakashi ran out into the village with Iruka, Genma, and Zukku. There were some huts on fire, but no pirates. They ran towards the port, and saw nothing but carnage. Every ship was completely destroyed. Those that had managed to escape the port had been easily picked off before they could fight back. Another cannonball came and exploded right in front of them. The four soldiers were sent flying into the air, and landed hard on the ground. Kakashi vision was blurry, but he could see several figures walking towards him. He went for his pistol that he’d dropped, but was stopped from a foot stepping on his hand.

“Well, well, well; if it isn’t little Kakashi Hatake, Master Commander, future pirate lord, and the stupid little bastard that stopped me from killing the Namikazes,” said one of the figures. Kakashi recognized his voice immediately; how could he forget that cruel evil voice; the same voice that had nearly killed him, Iruka, and Naruto. Kakuzu picked up Kakashi by the collar and stared straight into his eyes. “You’ve gotten careless, sending almost all your ships for treaty missions, and all you leave behind is garbage Leftenants and recruits. I expected better from you Hatake. No matter, you are not my target; I came for the last of the Hyuga. After she and Sasuke are dead then all the brothers will have died out, and no one will stop us. Kakashi was thrown onto the ground and pushed aside for later. Kakuzu and his three masked guards continued on. Kakashi tried to stand up, but was completely destroyed from the impact. He collapsed and fell into unconsciousness.

Hinata was carrying Haku over her shoulder and following close behind Nagi, and the three other militants he had gathered. They were nearly at the other end of the island; she could see the evacuation boats. They had made it to the boats, when one of the militants was shot from behind. The girls froze, while Nagi and the other two attempted to return fire. The two militants were easily shot down, but Nagi was too quick. He jumped to the side and fired his rifle. He heard a short, but loud, yelp and then quickly dodged another barrage. He fired another shot, and yet another yelp. Nagi charged the jungle that contained the assailants, and was unfortunately, thrown back out. Four figures emerged from the jungle; one of them had cloth on his head and across his face, while the other three wore strange masks. The leader wore an Akatsuki uniform, and the other three wore black outfits, and almost looked like assassins. The leader approached Hinata slowly, and unravelled two whips; both covered in spikes and blades. Nagi charged Kakuzu, but was intercepted by one of his guards. Their swords smashed together; Nagi back stepped and blocked another attack. He then swung his sword near the man’s torso, just missing it. He followed up by swing his sword up diagonally. The guard blocked and spun around Nagi and slashed his back. Luckily he had shifted for wards slightly so the wound wasn’t deep. Nagi threw his arm behind him attempting to hit the man from behind, but at the same time discreetly drew his pistol. The man received a small wound to shoulder, and was about to counter, but Nagi spun the pistol around and shot the man square in the upper chest. The man looked at the wound and the blood, and feel face first into the ground.

Nagi took this opportunity to attack the leader. The leader simply wrapped one of his whips around Nagi’s blade and shattered it. He grabbed Nagi by the throat and held him in the air.

“Pathetic, I will however, give you credit for killing one of my guards; they’re not easy to beat, but you are still just a pathetic lap dog for that bitch Tsunade,” Kakuzu threw him against a tree. “You’re not my target, but I will deal with you soon enough. Kakuzu kicked Nagi in the face, and watched the boy black out. He chuckled and continued with his mission.

“Lady Tsunade get behind us,” Temari ordered.

“Her, PFFT please I don’t want to kill some old bat; no my target is the little princess over there,” he pointed to Hinata. Tsunade grabbed Hinata and placed Hinata behind her.

“Bring it stitch face,” Tsunade taunted.

“Now, now all I want is the girl; give her to me and all this bloodshed will end...for now,”

“Fuck you,”

“Poor wording Tsunade; I may be tempted to do so to you and your little friends once you’re all my prisoners,” Kakuzu unravelled his whips and snapped them at Tsunade. She dodged and took out her blade. It had two blades on it and he could be held on her hand like a glove. It was almost like the hand of a praying mantis (I don’t know what they’re called). “Oh my, so this is your blade that combines your amazing strength with agile blows and swipes. I am impressed, but unfortunately I am on a deadline so I must resolve this quickly. Kakuzu leaped into the air and spun around 360* whipping his whips at the group. All except for Hinata was torn down in a flash, not dead, but severely injured. And now to send you to your maker little princess. He drew out his pistol and held it against her head. Do give my regards to your father and that bastard Namikaze. Hinata closed her eyes and waited. BANG, is all she heard before she blacked
